Aetna A/R Billing Technical Lead in Charlotte, North Carolina

The position will be engage in the accounts receivable functions for the Group Insurance division of Aetna for employee benefit coverage's of Life, STD, LTD and fees. The primary functions within this department are: billing system setup, generation of manual bills, validation of premium provided, processing of payments, collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances, processing enrollments, accounts receivable customer service, and accounts receivable financial analysis.
This position will complete the following functions:
*Creation of manual bills to assist customers with calculating premium owed
*Validate the information provided by the customer in relation to the payment remitted
*Process the billing information provided through Aetna systems
*Collaborate with Account Management on complex billing issues
*Research and resolve billing issues and questions
*Be consultative with customers on billing questions/processes/issues
*Manage outstanding Accounts Receivable balances and trending of billed premium over various time periods.
*Ability to dissect and reformat data provided in non-standard format to standard format
*Minimum of 3-5 years group insurance billing experience or 4 year accounting degree
*Preferred technical knowledge of Aetna systems supporting accounts receivable billing
*Advanced excel experience including pivot tables, vlookup formulas, etc.
*Mathematical skills including problem solving and allocation
*Strong customer service
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
