A digital landscape is evolving around healthcare at Aetna IoT skills is becoming increasingly important in our enterprise architecture. Design driven approaches are constantly changing the way we experience technology and we re looking for technologists who can help Aetna make this all possible. A strategic team within the Architecture group is looking for a senior leader with a balance of innovation, associative thinking and collaboration capabilities to play a key role in achieving the organization s technical goals.
Scope of activities:
· Collaborate with IT and business teams on IoT technology themes – machine learning, Geo-temporal technologies (GPS), analytics w/ big data systems, and controller systems for devices.
· Research and identify underlying core and global issues, then coordinate near-term as well as sustainable options, including required changes in core technology, integration and data architecture as well as design & infrastructure topology
· Evaluate, build consensus and arbitrate business demands with architecture, infrastructure and applications development
· Communicate technology opportunity, operational and structural problems through a combined lens of architecture, development, partner, and infrastructure
· Collaborate with cross-organizational teams including digital, IT strategy and program analysts
· Create persistent future forensics exercises making it easier to drive analysis and create similar insights.
Background and skills:
Minimum of 6 years of recent and related experience with Enterprise, Solutions, Business or Digital Architecture working environments. Considerable combined knowledge of web, mobile and multi-platform and hybrid architectures and development processes. Knowledge of analytic functions and data lake / data warehouse architectures and technologies. Experience in architecting with an analytics and/or insight organization is desirable. In conversation to be able to demonstrate associate and design thinking - breadth of technical expertise across Architecture, software patterns and Infrastructure topologies is a benefit Ability to formulate and drive technology research as well as communicate outcomes Experience serving as a technology leader in the scope of significant business change initiatives Prior experience with architecture and technology troubleshooting to highlight opportunities but also prevent missteps is desirable Demonstrated ability to inspire innovation driven people in a leadership style that engages others. Apt at building creditability of a team and within a team
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or higher and/ or equivalent experience.
*Will be required to travel up to 30%
