POSITION SUMMARY

Aetna Consumer Health & Products (CHP) mandate is to transform health and wellness via products that enable consumer engagement and a best-in-class experience. This team is responsible for Aetna's digital strategy and all digital products; as well as the development road map and execution of the roadmap. A key part of this team is to build an integrated platform and underlying products to drive engagement and revolutionize health and wellness.

Aetna is taking on a major initiative to redesign and rebuild many of its customer facing digital assets. This effort will include a completely new approach to developing software within Aetna, using the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes. Aetna Digital is a newly formed startup like business unit within Aetna, which will design, build and deliver a completely new and integrated digital experience for our users.

Aetna's new digital product team, Aetna Digital, is pioneering a new way for users to manage their healthcare. This isn't your parents' health insurance. We're a nimble, startup-like team of hungry, quirky, and digitally-savvy product experts using the latest technology like biometrics, wearables, and more to usher in new and thoughtful experiences to the 46.7 million people who rely on us to help them make decisions about their health.

We are looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to join our team in Burlington, MA.

Fundamental Components:

But we need help! Were looking for a Product Designer to develop creative answers to complex design problems and help re-shape healthcare for America and across the globe for generations to come.

What You ll Do:

Be an integral part of the product lifecycle from start to finish

Utilize the full range of your UX, interface, and visual design skills

Develop user stories, flows, mental models, and other supporting, often quick-and-dirty user research when necessary

Quickly prototype (Invision, Principle, Origami Studio, code: your choice) that express design intent

Work across departments to understand product potential and limitations

Work with Product Design leadership to help establish, nurture, and promote a scalable design system

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

3-5 years of user experience design experience for software, Web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices.

Create and iterate on UI wireframes and HTML prototypes to effectively communicate user interaction patterns and design ideas.

Develops and writes interaction and functional specifications.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
